The flu shot started during the h1n1 hysteria a few years back. It was just a way to capitalize on the situation. The product reps out right admitted this to veterinarians and staff, therefore i would be concerned about the ethics of any clinic that chose to carry it. The vaccine has not been proven effective. The risk of infection is virtually nonexistent unless you are on the international show circuit. (In 15yrs in the field I have never seen a case) the symptoms of the 1000+ alleged "flu victims" are the exact same as kennel cough which has been around forever and is spread the same way. In the event of infection, it is treatable.

Flu shots for dogs are still in testing mode. I would not recommend getting one for your dog.

It's true and there are no shots for it.

It's in the Chicago area, if your far from there; you should be fine.
