Any one else laugh at this video? I found it hilarious, it's very true. I always call them "Hippo" dogs. I am constantly having to explain an american bully (notice how i don't capitalize this because it is not a breed name) is not a breed, its a mutt and it sure as hell is not an American Pit Bull Terrier. I was e-mail this video and figured i'd share.

In my search for a APBT I have come across many of these Hippo breeders, I feel sorry for them many I've seen don't sit right, like there is something wrong with there back legs which there probably is. Some of them say that the standard for the breed says that it can be between 22 to 110 lbs.

I am disgusted by these people and some of the don't say that they are american bully some actually say that they are American Pit Bull Terriers.

Just a couple points about the vid and some of the responses.

All of the real pit bulls featured are champions in the traditional(original purpose) sense.

The American Bully has it's own kennel club,in my opinion a breed still in development and seriously lacking direction.http://www.abkcdogs.org/

The blue color is originally mentioned in pit type dogs from Scotland called Blue Pauls or Blue Polls. The Lightner strain of APBT's also presented blue dogs. It's a dilution of black and can present with the correct gene pairings, introduction of other breeds is not necessary. It was often thought that it presented with other health problems and blue dogs were culled for most of the breeds history.

Yes I have this video on my YA profile. I have also posted in a question to share : )

I love, love, love this video and its good that people can learn the truth. I even posted a response on there for that. I can't stand when people breed this hippo things and call them APBTs.

Have a great day!

great job !! i think you got the point across beautifully =D

and the song lol just perfect

sadly the only real APBT ive seen was online! all i see are blue and purple hippos!

then people start fights with you when you say they arent true APBT's here.

then you ask for their papers and they run off to argue with the person they bought them from.

others simply think that the bully is another name for the APBT i dont think they even realize it cant be considered one when its only a two inches off the ground and splayed out like a toad

I actually laughed. It's a nice way to speak about something so ridiculous and childish. The video itself is ridiculous, childish, but it has a great point, and when I say ridiculous and childish it's actually pretty hilarious - like Napoleon said, "when you are attacked, you must attack back". We diss their stupidity acting stupid as well. It's great.

However, my heart bleeds for the *REAL* APBT. Now all we want is this life-sized pigs with rotten colours and looking as square as a stamp.

No thank you, no hippos for me... I prefer the *other* ones...

I feel for those dogs. This is another example of gawd awful breeding.

I loved the REAL APBT part. But, the one with the huge chain attached made me cringe.

I prefer the real thing. She's not perfect, but neither am I.

nosaj: I read the article but I am still highly against CHAINING.

Sergio: Chihuahuas are more suited to be 'dogs of the devil'.

Last time I checked in he still prefers small lap dogs.
