Dog health emergency!!!!?

Ok maybe not emergency- My little girl turned 7 months today:)
However yesterday I got home from work and it looks like she had a zit on the back of her butt...I have never seen anything like this on my other dog..so my question is do dogs get zits? She just had flea and tick treatment about 2 weeks ago so she is clear on that...I sqweezed it with a paper towel alittle and it looked like oil came out- Just like a zit.... Does my baby have acne?

Um, not an emergency. Dogs of all breeds, but particularly some breeds like mastiffs, dobermans, and boxers tend to get sebaceous swellings like this. It is not acne.

PLEASE do NOT squeeze growths as this can lead to serious complications. Dogs get acne but it is usually around the mouth. What you described is not a zit. It may be a cyst, a bite or something else. Let a vet have a look if it is not better in a day or two. No more squeezing.

Just clean it off, dab with Peroxide and a touch of Neosporin and watch to see if others appear. If more do, see a vet. Sounds like a clogged oil gland.

sounds like a cyst,, but i wonder what kind of dog you have that you can see a pimple on the butt... where is your dogs hair
