I don't undetrstand why you felt the need to throw the f word out there.....children are often in the DS. Please, try to use acceptable language.

Thanks

If you want a German Shepherd Dog you most likely need to go through an actual BREEDER who breeds licensed dogs, takes them to schutzhund training/showing and etc. GSD breeders take this very seriously.

It's not if you search the right places.

http://www.gsdca.org is where you start your search.

http://www.hessengsd.com/ is in NoCal, but you can drive or meet at a show

http://www.loriengsd.com/index.html is in Riverside

These are responsible repsected breeders, they won't tolerate childish language and a bad attitude.

Look at your local animal shelters. I've seen many for adoption. Maybe not a young puppy, but how about a teenager? Some are turned in because their people are too lazy to train them right. And they are probably already house trained.

Go on the akc.org site and look up German shepherd breeders in your area. Most likely you'll find one if you live in America.

The AKC website should be able to help you find reputable breeders in your area. You could ask local vets about German Shepherd rescues also. Lastly you could check out your local shelters.

Look up a breeder in your state or province and see if they ship their puppies :)

Google should have a list or near by breeders.

Check out the available pups and dogs at the Orange County Chapter of GSD rescue: http://www.coastalgsr.org/GSRescueavailable.htm

Scroll down so you don't miss "Bud" or "Stella".!!

If none of those suit you,:

Contact the So Cal GSD rescue, and get on their list for available pups or youngsters: http://www.socalrescue.org/

Then, enter your own zip code to see what is available for adoption near you: http://www.petfinder.com/pet-search?animal_type=Dog&pet_breed=German+Shepherd+Dog&location=90210&startsearch=Search

1: Why ARE you "a skullman" ? And a "zombie" ?

I suspect it has to do with massive head injury.

#2: Your complete (apart from 4 non-dog Questions - although I can't see that a boa and 2 dogs would co-exist well!) is:

• why do chihuahuas like to start fights ?

• how do i get my dog to walk on a leash without pulling me ?

• do you think my dog looks more like a German Shepherd or more like a husky or both?

• how do i get my dog to go down on command she is stubborn ?

• is there anybody who is selling German Shepherd puppies that will grow large?

(as one answerer said: "You just asked all the wrong questions"...)

• can i find a good German Shepherd puppy at a animal shelter or pound?

• is it worth purchasing a 600-1000 dollar german sheperd puppy?

• can you list good german Shepherd breeders in southern California in links?

• what do you think about pitbulls?

• what do i do to convince him?

(Nothing. I had already deduced that you are NOT a suitable owner for a dog.)

• how do i get my dog to bark at strangers or dogs?

• how much does a AKC German Shepherd puppy cost?

• why the f*** is it so hard to find German Shepherd puppies!!?

(charming!!!)

• what should i do about it ?

• should i start petsitting to make money ?

(I doubt you have the patience & self-control for the task. Your f-use in the one I'm answering is out of order - every word is okay IN THE RIGHT SITUATION, but there is no justification for that unprovoked use. And you can't even get your OWN pet to walk properly.)

and covers 16 days.

Okay....

Pooches called German Shepherd Dogs are NOT hard to find. In most of the world they are one of the 4 most popular breeds. Nor are KC-registered GSDs hard to find.

But 2 things ARE hard to find!

#1 is pooches that actually measure up to the REQUIREMENTS of a GSD, as specified in

http://www.fci.be/uploaded_files/166g01-en-sv.doc

which is the real Standard as approved by conferences of the WUSV (World Union of GSD clubs, with about 78 member-nations). The failures are especially so in North America, where the "locals" each ever-so-independently invented their own "different" rebel "Standards" - then ignored even those and produced German Crouchers. NAmerican Ski-Slope Dogs, Prick-Eared Bassets, Teeth-on-Feet, Titanic Tail Tuckers, and Just-Plain-Crap!

There is a set of tests used to prove that a genuine GSD has a sound character and the joints, agility, size suitable for the breed's tasks, etc. It is at

http://pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/The_GSD_Source/links/Defining_a_GSD_001261993982/

The few GSDs in Canada & the USofA that possess those certificates either came from Europe, or belong to members of one of: the GSSCCanada, the USCAmerica, the WDA.

#2 are breeders who put their time (usually 18-36 months) & money into obtaining each certificate for their brood, followed by flying her across the country to the stud most likely to improve her small flaws - and are then willing to sell their pups, at below cost, to people without a secure (well-fenced; long-term lease or actually owned) property and without a secure & adequate income to cover the MANY costs involved in raising a GSD properly.

Of those very few, how many do you think are willing to entrust their carefully-planned progeny to people who do NOT have the self-control to speak/write civilly? - who have proven that they can't get their existing pet to walk calmly on-leash?

Have you even applied to a GSD-Rescue group or an SPCA? The first thing they do is interview you and inspect your property - and unless you & it are suitable you do NOT go on their list. As there are already 2 medium-large pooches on the SMALL property you are allowed on, it is unlikely that a third would be approved - for caring-time reasons, for upsetting the current "pecking order" balance, probably for other reasons that we can only guess at. That your landlord doesn't want a third dog there shows that he has more sense than you do. You showed poor judgement when letting your cross-breed overwhelm the insecure Chihuahua, when you used the f-word, and no doubt in other ways if I could be bothered reading through all your questions.

• Stick to your current pet.

• Join a training club and learn to TRAIN your pet.

• Forget the thought of being paid to mess-up other people's dogs - that isn't your intention, but it is a certain result at present. You lack the skills. You lack the experience. You lack the judgement. You lack the self-control.

People love German Shepherds, so they aren't that rare...google breeders in your area, look for specialty dog shows in your area, where they are showing GS, contact GS rescues, someone should know where you might find a good dog. I purchased ALL of my purebreds through classified ads in my local newspaper, I have three different breeds.
