Ginger is not only not harmful to dogs (except large quantities of ginger powder can cause digestive upset) but it's actually healthy. Your dog ate pickled ginger which is not dangerous but ginger in general is great for inflammation and joint pain and upset stomachs (like with people.) Many dog supplements actually have ginger in them and mine take it occasionally as well!

Ginger is generally harmless to dogs, but just like most things it should not be eaten in excess. The small amount that your dog ate will not be a problem, ginger is even an ingredient in some dog treats. She may vomit if it upsets her stomach but it should not be anything to worry about.

Your dog should be fine but make sure it doesn't happen again but just to make sure keep an eye on her for awhile.
