Both Pedigree and Royal Canin puppy chow are available in India. Other brands may be OK too. Either would be a good choice.

Dogs don't digest cows' milk very well. Goats' milk is better, but if the dog is eating a puppy chow, it is better off without anything else. Milk is high in calcium and too much can wreck a Labrador puppy's joints.

If you feed a good quality kibble, free of corn, wheat, soy, by-products and chicken (the known allergens) your dog will do fine. No food will make your dog any better looking or healthier than it's genes allow. All you can do is feed the best you can find and cross your fingers that the puppy lives up to your expectations. If you did your homework before you bought the puppy, knew what kind of puppies the breeder was producing from its sire and dam, then you shouldn't be disappointed in the outcome. You can not change the genes your puppy was born with.

Five weeks is way too young to be away from the littermates and dam........is this your litter or did you buy a puppy this young? Puppies learn bite inhibition and body language from their littermates and their mom, that's why it is unwise to take a puppy younger than 8 weeks away from its' birth home.
