What to feed my dogs switching purina?

ok I work at a vet. They recommend science diet and they will give me a discount since I work there (50% off). I have heard that science diet is crappy food My vet's are not getting paid to recommend it. They use it too. Right now i am using purina and I can't afford expensive dog food but just give me some top brands if u don't like science diet and tell me where i can buy it. if you think i am dumb not knowing what to feed my dog and I work at a vet I am a receptionist.

Science diet is OK, its mediocre. Lots of corn and fillers.



I recommend these: Natural Balance, Wellness, Innova, Tast of the Wild, Natures Recipe, California Natural, Solid Gold, Canidae, Halo Spots Stews, Blue Buffalo, Merrick,Chicken Soup for the Pet lovers Soul, Kirklands Signature. etc.



The Most affordable out of these(but still high quality) are Natural Balance, Chicken Soup, And Kirkland Signature(at Costco). I use Natural balance and i love it. Lots of real meat, no corn or wheat, no meat byproducts.

Science Diet is cr@p, Purina products are cr@p, as well as Pedigree and any other dog food you can buy at a place like WalMart or your local grocery store. How can you actually work in a vet's office and not know what dog food is high quality? Being a receptionist is NO excuse. You should be knowledgeable in dog care and be able to answer basic questions to clientele.



I like Canidae For All Life Stages. I wouldn't feed Science Diet if someone gave it to me for free.

I wouldn't feed anything lower quality than Healthwise or Fromm Classic. Both are much better than Science Diet and are actually cheaper, don't know with your discount.
