My puppy has worms...?

I got two puppies and while I was at the pet store, the mail threw up some food (I think he got too hot) but we saw a white worm in the vomit. I immediately went and got wormer medication for them. I have seen worms in the poop as well, but yesterday I saw the worms, and they were still wiggling around. Today, the worms I've seen in the poop (no vomit today) have been very still, and what seems to be dead.

How do I know that the wormer medication is working the way it should?

the meds are working, they will poop most of them out that is how they leave the body, thing is you need to keep the pups on the meds because the eggs will be in its system and they are not visable to the naked eye. The puppy pooping them out is a good thing.

By taking your puppies to the vet. Almost all puppies have worms. Frankly, the breeder should have wormed the puppies before you picked them up.

Take in fecal samples to the vet so they can do a float and determine specifically what kind of worms they have. That way they can provide the correct medication.

When your puppies are defecating and vomiting live worms, they are infested by that point. They must see a vet.

The vet will give you the correct worming medication in pill form that your puppies will have to take twice, it's either 2 or 3 weeks apart. They will even provide little tasty pockets to put the pills in.

Seems like it is. My cat had worms in her poop and I gave her the medication given to me by the vet, I think it was only three pills? And she hasn't had them since. Give it a few days and check the poo again. :) gross, I know.

....I think you should bring 'em into the vet; if they have worms, what else could they have? Heartworm?
