a Miniature doberman pinscher. i had 2 of them they were quiet they never shed and they were very easily house broken. they grow to be atleast 14 inches, and last about 14 years. they are about $1500. they are very friendly and love kids. they are not too energetic either. they love long walks.

1. Do not get a dog for Christmas. It's too busy and NEVER ok to give a dog as a gift.

2. Don't go to a breeder. Breeders are killers and cause the pet overpopulation problem.

3. The best "breed" is a dog in need.

Please think this through. You question indicates that you have not so take some time to make kinder choices.

definite relatively a protracted haired canines does shed greater then a quick haired canines yet the two relatively do shed. counting on the bread of the canines, they could have a further coat of hair closer to the floor to guard them in chilly climate. This contain huskies and malamutes at the same time as short haired canines like beagles and short haired dachunds don't have that 2nd coat. There are some varieties of canines that don't shed including Silky Terriers. while you're frightened approximately laying off, verify with the seem after people previously you get the canines.

if you get any kind of Shepardd dog, they shed like mad because of the double coat. they were bred to be outside herding cattle or sheep. do some library research on short haired breeds, probably they will be terrier type, like Manchester terrier, or cairn terrier. be prepared for more time spent house training, and also terriers bark like mad.
