the endorsements that are available on kc registration are prodigy not eligible for registration which means that people can not register puppies from the dog with out the breeders permission, i put this on all my puppy papers as it does deter people breeding just for money, if someone wants to breed as long as they have done their research, got all the health checks done and the dog is of good quality to improve my breed and know what they are doing i will lift the ban, but if i sell as a pet i won't lift it, as i recommend to all my pet puppy people to get the dog neutered, the other is not for export which means the owner can not take any puppy i have bred out of the country with out my permission, this way i know all my puppies are still in the country and i can check their well being, if there are no endorsements on your dogs papers then you can breed with out the breeders permission, any breeder can put the endorsements on the papers when they register a litter and only the breeder can get them lifted, hope this helps honey, best of luck.

The endorsement section is there on the registration certificate to protect breeders and the blood line of their pups. If the breeder does not want you beed from your puppy from her litter then she can endorse the certificate to say so, which means if you do, the pups would not be recognised in the kennel Club and could not be registered with full pedigree satatus. To Breed a pup you would have to find a Sire that has all his papers. Did the breeder ask you if you wanted your pup as a pet only. If there is nothing wriiten in the endorsement section then there are no restrictions.

Diamond is right, it is to try to control breeding from that line. My young Rott had an endorsement, the breeder wanted to know the dog's hip score was ok before lifting it. People can of course breed from endorsed dogs but they would not then be able to be registered with the kennel club. Hope you'll do the right thing, though. (see all GOOD advice above.)
Just read Jaw Me Dead, that's even better.

If your pup came with limited registration it would state on their. The breeder would check and sign a box for only limited registration, meaning you can breed, but the pups aren't registerable. If that is nt filled in than you have full registration and can breed, but shoudl only breed if your dog is a great representation of the breed in looks, temperament, and what it was actually originally bred for (look at your breeds standard). It costs a lot of money to breed quality pups. Money that will take years to actually get back. No good reputable breeder actually makes much of a profit.

a breeder puts endorsements on the papers to stop you breeding you must speak to the breeder and ask is it going to be lifted at a later date

I think it means you aren't allowed to breed with that dog.
