How to stop snow getting stuck in newfoundland dogs toes?

My newfoundland pup keeps getting snow stuck in between her toes.And i think it gets to a point that it must really hurts... She whines and limps on her legs...(poor girl!) Does anyone have some idea on how to stop this in the winter?

P.S. She's fine now i warmed the snow with my hand and it melted off :)

Continue warming her feet, however if you clip off the long hair it will help. In addition to this you should coat her feet with Paw Wax before a walk.

Trim the hair in between the toes, or you can pour warm water to melt the snow, not hot just warm.

We always wipe our dogs feet when we come in from walks, they have salt stuck in there even if the hair is trimmed it is uncomfortable... also they lick it and swallow the salt and this is not good for kidneys good luck

Trim the hair between the pads on her paws. I have to do this with my golden retriever too.

There are dog booties available. Most dogs dont like to walk with them on at first, but they can help with that problem.

either keep the hair between her toes trimmed or buy some doggie booties
