What dog breed do you think this is?

I remember when i was a little girl, my neighbor had a dog like that and then she gave it away, whats the name off its breed?

sorry about the picture being small and not really alot off quality, thats the only picture i found of it because i dont know the breed name so i was pretty amazed to see it there? oh yeah and it was a blue colour the dog my neighbor had an very slim, but it looked sorter like that. and it definatly wasnt a mastiff.

it sounds like a weimaraner to me. and the blue colour is known as a 'blue ghost'.

I don't see a shar pei in that picture at all. Some sort of mastiff. Maybe cane corso.... If you can find a picture of an adult of the breed you are searching for would be much more helpful. Puppies look a lot a like until they get older and start looking like their breed.

It is definately 100% a Dogue De Bordeaux - if you look at the film Turner and Hooch.. at the end the dog has pups.. identical to the picture you have posted.

That pic is *probably* a Vizsla pup.

If the dog you're talking about was "blue"=grey=it could have been a Weimaraner.

Go read the Breed Standard at the AKC site.

if you google it i'm pretty sure it's a Viszla that you are looking for they look a little like weims but are shorter and brown in color
