Question:
What is the best squeaky toy for a rough chewer?
2009-05-01 07:27:54 UTC
I have a mini dachshund who LOVES squeaky toys but the only problem is he breaks the squeaker inside or tears the toy apart within minutes! Plush toys and plastic toys he breaks apart the easiest... Are there any dog toys with squeakers that your aggressive chewer hasn't destroyed and it's still squeaking months later???

Here are some toys he managed to either break the squeaker inside and/or tear the toy apart:

My husky is a terrible chewer, so if there is a good toy, I'd like to know too, haha. I can only tell you what hasn't worked with her: plush toys, canvas toys, vinyl toys, squeaky tennis balls, frisbees. The only toys she has not destroyed have been her various Kongs, but I haven't gotten her a wubba yet, as someone else suggested. It'd probably be the best bet for your dog. If your dog is anything like mine, she'll probably still find a way to destroy the squeaker, but it might at least last longer since Kongs are so strong.

Dakota my dog is a rough chewer but not to her ball. It was once a squeaky toy but she never chewed it up! She still has it and I got it for her when she was a pup,she is 5 now and still has it. She loves playing with it! She loves tennis balls too but sometimes will chew hard on it to where it breaks!

Ball socks she doesn't tear up though! That's a tennis ball in a sock and I throw it around for them to fetch! Both of my dogs love that!

Plush toys are a NO for her because she will tear it apart in minutes!

I would definitely go with a kong wubba toy. They run around $10 or so at any petsmart, petco or target. My dog loves his, and also will destroy any regular squeaky toy in just minutes.

It took a few months or so for him to rip this one to shreds!

i have 2 dogs like that. you can get a tennis ball with a little jingle thing in it or a ball that you put food in and they have to roll it to get the food out. ours have not been able to tear it up. they also enjoy bones, but give you dog the bone for only a little while at a time or it could upset its stomach. if you decide to get a squeaker again, try acting like it's a baby and say things like "don't hurt the baby!" "there's your baby" stuff like that. it worked with my dogs and they didn't tear the toy up for about 5 mopnths when normally those things only last 2 days.

LOL..I have a pittie, there isn't much that lasts long in my house. But for some reason she has actually not killed the Hedgehog squeaky she got from the Easter Bunny. She carries it around with all the time.

These are the only toys I have found that my dogs cannot destroy. They are tough canvas material and have lasted for a year already! They come in a couple of versions....snake, aligator, cat, etc...and in a variety of sizes for small to large dogs. They are great for dogs who normally destroy toys. I have about 6 of them and my dogs have yet to destroy even one of them. And the squeaky is relatively quiet compared to some dogs toys, which is great for me! : )

the two are beautiful of their very very own way. i like the tough, animal, get precise to the component intercourse the place I supply her barely adequate foreplay to get her moist after which nail her no longer elementary and speedy. I additionally love sluggish languid intercourse the place we touch and kiss for an prolonged time. that's an excellent thank you to connect on different ranges. in many circumstances I run out of persistence and at last flow issues forward to genuine arousal, orgasm for her, and intercourse. BQ: sure, very virtually consistently. once you have a real intimate relationship with somebody, you experience what they experience, extraordinarily for the time of love making. You connect and grow to be one being.

Rough chewers are tough.

The best toy I've found for rough chewers is actually this:

No, it doesn't squeak, but it's interactive and has held up to my 60lb Aussie power chewer toy destroyer for over a year. And look, it's fun!http://www.cleanrun.com/images/productvideos/Egge.mov

I like the beanie baby squeek toys. They seem sturdier than the other plush toys. My dog isn't that agressive with her squeek toys so I'm not sure how well they'll work for you. Good luck!

i know your dog likes the squeaky ones but maybe try a small kong they are hard hard rubber and you can put treats in them so it has to work for them. try it with peanut butter and put it in the freezer over night and they enjoy them, my dogs do anyways.
