Nero- the name of an ancient black emperor who ordered his people to find the source of the nile, I think nero is close to the latin word for black as well this one is cool, this is my fave anyways I know they are a bit strange but they all have a meaning behind them and I think unique names are always best for pets.x

Friend of mine just acquired a male black lab and named it Spartacus.. Sparky for short. But my fav of all time is a friend of mine in Tennessee who named theirs Gunner. And Gunner is the most gentle dog and what a hoot he is! I love Gunner. Just love the thumbs down person on this site.
