Dog breed selector quiz recommendation?

I want a dog and I know what sort of traits I want (coat type, grooming and exersize, needs, size) and I thought doing a couple of those quizes would help me figure out which dogs to take the time to research.. I've taken a couple and even though I say I want a small dog it tells me things like Golden Retrievers being my ideal dog. That's not a small dog!

Sorry, I don't remember which specific quizes I've taken but is there any quiz out there that you particularly like or don't like?

I do NOT want to be told to get one breed or another. The breed that is good for you and your family probably isn't good for mine!

You could try this new dog breed selector quiz, it is very easy to do and is unique because it covers both purebred dogs and popular crossbreds. You also get your results instantly - we did the quiz the other day and were really happy with the answerws we got. It will match you up with your perfect dog and also show you percentages with closely matched breeds. It is also an Australian site and has heaps of puppy raising information as well. Each person has their own unique circumstances to consider and it is very smart to do a selector quiz before you rush out and buy a puppy.

You can find it at.

If you know what "sort of traits I want (coat type, grooming and exersize, needs, size)" you want then why are you doing internet quizzes, why aren't you going to shows and looking at dogs which may be suitable, talking to the owners/handlers and finding oout directly, then doing some research about the breeds that you have seen..............

A golden retriever is not a very big dog. The quiz you took was a DOG breed selector so if your looking for an accessory or rat they probably dint have those listed. I would suggest you get a dog that your kids could play catch with...

It depends, do you want short hair? Some medium hair, either way you will have to brush them, bathe them and so forth, how big is too big? I prefer Aussies being i have two, they have normal size which i have and mini ones they merles and red tris are gorgeous. But again that's my preference, they are very bright, fast learners and great companions. They love children and can be in/outdoor pets, mine are outdoors. They bark to tell me that somethings wrong, whether it be someone coming on the land or that there are roaming cows. But again, just pick out some dogs that interest you and research them online, you need to keep in mind, are any aggressive of course you wouldn't want that around kids, easy to train, temperament

Try this one. The very first question is, "what size dog are you looking for?"
