Jimmy has been dry heaving for the past 8 hours like he's going to throw up but nothing comes up. I've taken him outside so he doesn't make a mess and nothing happens. He still has energy and isn't acting weird besides that. I'm really worried, I don't know what it is :( please help. He constantly is dry heaving and the only time he isn't is when he's taking naps..

Your puppy has something stuck in his throat. Puppies explore the world with their mouths which means they are constantly putting things in their mouths that they shouldn't be. Ignore these people who say Jimmy is fine and take him to a vet ASAP!!!

Jimmy might not like the food you are feeding him or he has too much,i think you should call a vet nurse and ask for advice over the phone.Puppies tend to do that a lot now dont panic but Parvo virus is going around and it's deadly for the little ones if they have not had their imunisation/booster shots. They do not need direct contact with dogs effected by it to get it either.I hope he will be fine but please do make that call you may have to get him checked out, good luck! PS:I gave you the worst case scenario there my be very little wrong with him but ring the vet just to make sure!

Does he have enough water? He might have a dry throat. He may also have something caught in his throat if he as been getting into the garbage or eating stuff of the ground. Try giving him some water and if his condition doesn't improve I would suggest taking him to the nearest veterinarian clinic.

At what point did you think that "lets go on yahoo answers to see if people who have never seen my dog will know what is wrong". Call the ER Vet, he could have something stuck in his airways but something is seriously wrong.

That sounds absolutely terrible/horrifying. Why are you asking? You should be on the phone with a vet RIGHT NOW!!!

I agree with Hanksmama, you should get advice from experts, we aren't trained vets, so you can never trust the internet.

I love when people get animals and can't even afford to take it to a vet when problems arise. AIRHEADS shouldn't have animals PERIOD.

my puppy did that, its okay! its probably some doggy cold thats going around and he just caught it. unless he starts vomiting blood, he'll be okay :)
