I adopted this dog from the pound a couple of weeks ago, they seem to think it was a mut.
but some of the other people we've asked at our vet think shes a purebred chocolate lab.
and we have no clue, do you think its a purebred? or do you think shes a mixed breed, and if so, with what?

she was found in a high class neighborhood as well, and most muts don't run around like that.

The pup is VERY typey. Meaning it has a LOT of characteristics a good lab should, ear size and shape, the coat length and the tail. The dog is just too solid of a color to be a mix running around in my opinion unless it was chocolate lab x chocolate pitbull, but the hair is too long to be a lab/pitbull mix, and the absence of other colors also makes me want to say: Purebred Lab. That's my 2 cents, and my reason why I believe the dog is what I think it is.

I do think It is a chocolate lab but it might be mixed with a golden retriever. I have a chocolate lab and It look almost exactly like it.If it was in the higher class neighborhood it would probley be a lab because they are good guard dogs and the owner probley had a purebred.

Hard to tell from the picture but she looks more like a chocolate lab than anything else. If she is crossed up with any other breeds then the lab is dominant. My first thought when I looked at her was her lower jaw looks fairly heavy and shot forward slightly "bulldog style ". But can't really tell from the pictures.

Teacup breeds do no longer exist. The "breeders" purely take sickly runts and breed them mutually to get small, risky dogs. do no longer help those breeders. additionally, you may no longer be paying for/adopting in case you think of you will get a "suitable": dogs. All dogs would desire to income to no longer bark and behave around different animals. All dogs shed a minimum of somewhat. All dogs WILL roll in some thing stinky and do scent like dogs on account that's what they are. in case you go with a loving dogs, you are going to could bond with it. while you're lifeless set on getting a dogs stay faraway from dominant breeds in view which you're patently no longer experienced with dogs. meaning particularly no dachshunds or chihuahuas.

That definitely looks like a full blooded Chocolate Lab. I've had several and I have one that is mixed now. Yours looks like it's a purebred. Hope this helps!!

she looks like a chocolate lab to me!! No way to tell for sure if she's mixed with anything without shelling out some money. But, she looks pretty pure to me!

I would say Labrador and Pitbull. The lighter eyes and nose color indicates he could possibly be a mix between a Chocolate lab and a dilute Pitbull (what they call a 'red nose', they're simply Pitbulls with diluted pigment which means a red/gray/light nose and yellow/light brown eyes) That, and the head shape (which is a little bullier than a Labrador) and the slightly looser lips and heavy eyebrows :)

REALLY cute find, though! :)

She's a Chocolate Lab. It does not look like she is mixed. However, if you really want to know if she is pure, you would have to spend a cpl bucks.

she does look like a pure lab but when she gets older you may see other breeds come out, she could be cross with a retriever or ridgeback but because the breeds are fairly similar you cant tell and she just looks like a normal lab

Chocolate lab ♥ I work at a pet store (I know, no credit wanted) and we sell chocolate labs that look idential to that. You can usually tell by the color of its eyes, the light golden brown is a sign :)

She looks like a purebreed to me but you never know with puppies. Her ears look a little smaller than normal you can have her tested if your willing to spend the money to find out for sure!
