Question:
Goooood Morning Dog Section: Heat Wave?
Bells

Are you/your dogs dealing with the heat wave / power outages that are happening on the East Coast? If so, how are you making sure your dogs are ok?

Also, in leu with all the other questions on yahoo that require a qualified psychic "how long will my dog live", "What is wrong with my dog", "What is my dog mixed with"...

I'd like to take a chance and ask a couple of my own questions:

"When will I get a promotion?"

"What are my lucky lotto numbers?"

"What breed (or mix thereof) will my next dog be?"

Thank you for all your thorough answers on this! Much appreciated :)

No heat wave here, just rain and since the Dobermann is not an all weather breed, my jogging companion drags his paws when he steps outside and the wet stuff is coming down harder than a fine mist.

If the economy is contracting in the US the same way it is here, promotion may not be in your tealeaves anytime soon!

Your lottery numbers are whatever the lucky dip ticket shows.

Purchase a ton of loose tea and keep reading the leaves for your next breed or mix to be revealed.

No power outages here, only one hell of a heat wave. It's supposed to be 100s all through this week and next again!!

Teensy is doing just fine, but I find myself checking on her every so often when at home. One time, I thought she was dead, just sleeping though. Lol!! I make sure she gets water in her kibble so she won't dehydrate because when the weather is hotter than normal, she only drinks a tiny amount of water. Weird dog! I have to look out for my annoying idiot box in the summer, especially now that temps are soaring to record highs everywhere it seems. Mom's dog is doing okay, had to bring his cage in the house though. Even though I would give anything for someone to knock the goof ball out cold, he's still lovable in a.....way. Kind of like a dandelion, pretty to look at but annoying as heck.

To answer your questions.....

If you win the lottery, you can give yourself a permanent promotion with more than a few vacations, and quit your job in style (if you want).

Lotto Numbers- 3, 12, 27, 34, 58.....power ball- 4, you better hope you win something. My psychic vision is a little fuzzy, but for a small fee....I can pretend like I know what I'm talking about by using big words....such as ENORMOUS cash prize. LOL!!

A chihuahua, long haired. My psychic vision tells me to tell you, DO NOT get a Rat Terrier, they will literally drive you crazy.....in a good way sometimes.

LOL! And a good morning to you too. Ya know, I'd like to know my lucky lotto numbers too. If you find an answer that works, let me know so I can bug them about it. ;)

It's winter here at the moment (I'm in Australia) but it doesn't snow where I am, it's just cold with a higher chance of rain. But, we do get very frequent heatwaves during the summer here. I don't have central air, but I do have a portable cooler (one of those you need to fill with buckets of water) The dogs are kept inside and sheltered from the heat until they need to go to the bathroom and they either decide to laze about in the firing range of the cooler, or crash out on the tiles in the laundry.

Also, if it gets TOO bad, I put a few ice cube in their water dishes and let them run under some water a couple of times a day, depending on when or if it's needed. When they were puppies, I used the bring them into a brief cold shower with me to cool them off as they were both summer puppies and I was a bit worried about the heat, and their age and fur causing issues.

My magic eight ball says:

Not at this time

14 27 31 101 114 1000000258565410 good luck

The magic eight ball sees you with a chi-gerbil..the next designer critter!

Here in the midwest we have been fighting temps in the 90's with the heat index over 100. The dogs go out for short periods to run around, but stay inside until later in the evening when it cools off. They also love being in the pool with us at night. I wouldn't want to be without power during this time..I feel for the people involved!

It's been hot as hell over here, and there's been lack of rain, last time that remembered it rained was may. So... due to the lack of rain, there not doing any fireworks.

The Dogs aren't use to it being this hot, nor am I. So, we go to local dog center, which has agility Equipment, pools, and fly ball.

West coast...just the usual warm weather here.

Your promotion is being discussed right now.

Your lucky lotto numbers are a combination of yours, your daughter's, and your dog's birthdays.

Your next dog will be a Chichowsnickerdoodle.

Fine...if you want a guard dog then you should get one of my carefully bred pocket Dobermans. They live in your purse or sleeve, and without any training will leap to protect you should the need arise. :o)

NYC here. We haven't had any brown outs in my area...yet.

I have my ceiling fans running and the AC goes on later int he day. I live near the water, so in the morning and evening, I generally get a pretty nice breeze.

I walk them around 4:30 and we stay in the shade. I bring water & a bowl with me, so they can stop and drink. We'll stop a bit and sit under a tree to let them cool down a bit before we make our way home.

You'll get a promotion when the old grouch retires.

Your lucky lotto numbers are your birthday and your significant other's birthday with one number wrong.

Your next dog will be a Labrador mix.

Your welcome.
