Question about German Shorthair pointer.

I've been really thinking about owning this breed and I know they need a lot of exercise is this enough:

Winter:

On Mondays and Tuesdays I can do 2 hours off lead running about on a big/ field woods, also maybe hunting, I am able to do fetch, flirt pole and swimming in that 2 hours as well.
But this would be on the evening, and will be by him/herself with the company of other a dog through out late morning - after noon.

Wednesday's I can do 3 hours of the same thing of Monday and Tuesday.

Thursdays - Sunday, I can do 3 hours in the morning of swimming, fetch running and maybe hunting. Then the evening 2 hours of the same thing.

In the summer I would be able to add an extra hour off everything I do in the winter.

I know this post maybe a bit silly but I'm seriously dedicated owner and already own a Rottweiler.

Also what's a difference between female and male GSP?

Are they good with other dogs if brought up with meeting new dogs from a puppy every single day&

And finally what is their recall like do they run and not come back or do they listen to you when you want them back?

Yes, it is. You will have to work up gradually to all of that; whether you get a puppy or an adopted adult. The adult will adapt much FASTER to your exercise regimen. The GSP can be good w/ other dogs, if raised around them and socialized with them.

Do not FORGET the GSP was bred to be a versatile hunting dog (like Weims, Vizsla, GWP & WP Griffons, Wired-haired Vizsla) That means they were developed to; point, track, & retrieve.

So in addition to PHYSICAL exercise, they need mental exercise (aka the ability to work and/or problem-solve) in order to be happy. Ideally, they should get to work as they were bred to and can additionally enjoy land & water retrieving, tracking, agility, rally, obedience, flyball, lure coursing & barn hunts (just to name a FEW FUN activities ALL breeds can be entered in, nowadays).

If you buy from a reputable breeder or adopt from a breed-specific rescue group FOR the GSP = they can answer very specifically ALL of your questions. The main difference between male & females is SIZE. The link below discusses what other personality differences you GENERALLY see in all breeds (when comparing/contrasting the genders):

I have a saluki, they are like the closest things to greyhounds and are really fast. We take her up to the beach or the woods for 40 mins 2-3 times a week, and play with her for about 10-20 mins everyday. That is enough exercise for most dogs

People will copy my answer -.- like the last question I just answered but oh well here goes.

If its daily, its fine. But I am not sure if they will come back when called. You will need a strong relationship and good training skills if you are going to do that. All dogs are different, and it doesn't mean they will be nice because of their breed. And yes puppies will know how to communicate with dogs if you socialize them with new dogs everyday.

Don't know about GSP sorry though.

Oh haha xD GSP is Germain Shorthair Pointer.

So there is really no difference. If they are not neutered or spayed there is a difference. They will change their personality. They will become more territorial. So basically both the same.

All dogs are different right?

Like a son and daughter. The son may be more softer, while the girl may be rougher. everyone is different in their own ways.
