I'm looking for a small, white, pomeranian puppy. Does anyone know of a legit and trustworthy place or person where I could purchase one and not have to worry about getting scammed?
Thanks xo

I am a breeder and I would advise against buying a Teacup /runt/preemie. There is no such thing as a Teacup. Teacups are just babies that did not grow as they should in the mother s womb usually because of some health problem. These runts or preemies usually do not live but 6-8 years as opposed to a healthy Pom that lives 12-15 years. The most prevalent issue being heart murmurs. Some have chronic coilitis, kidney or bladder infections. These puppies litterally end up living at the vet s office and because they are contstantly on antibiotics, their liver is the first thing that fails. With liver failure which brings on stress in the body, they usually end up having a heart attack especially if they are already diagnosed with a heart murmur. But that being said, there are at times runts or preemies born. This is just a fact. Maybe the mom was not at peak health when she was bred or there could have been other issues with the breeding that cause runts/preemies. Myself as I breeder, I would never breed any dog 5 pounds or under. Not only are you endangering the life of the mom but most of these sort of litters have to be delivered C-Section which puts more stress on the mom. Dogs do not recover from this kind of constant stress so the next time she is bred, there will be the same issues or maybe even lose the life of the mom, puppies or both. People that do this are monsters and anyone that supports this sort of inhumane treatment of dogs are in the same category. If/when I happen to have a puppy in a litter that is a runt/preemie, I always keep them until they are 12 weeks old because they are about a month behind a normal, healthy pom. If your heart is set on getting a runt/preemie, please do your due diligence and try to learn all you can about this as it will end up saving you a TON of money from having to live at the vet s office. If you need any other information, please contact me mmarklin@comcast.net or www.marklinspomeranians.com I am always here to help.

LOL no such thing! Teacup is a BS term horrible backyard breeders give to dogs bred extra small which is NOT the standard for the breed and hence NOT dogs that can be shown. These poor extra tiny animals have all sorts of health issues - weak hearts, anemia, seizures. Why on earth would you support that sort of breeding?
Is a breed standard Pomeranian seriously "too big" for you? If so BUY A STUFFED TOY!

You will know if you've looked through this section that there are NO LEGIT AND TRUSTWORTHY breeders of anything with the word 'teacup' in it.
NO reputable breeder would ever try and breed below standard and anyone that does has no interest in the health of the pups and only has interest in the money they can make from a silly fad and selling to gullible people like you. Sorry, but don't buy into it. Go to a good breeder who breeds within the breed standard for poms.
Add... here is the breed standard for UK poms and I doubt if any other country is much different, and this is SMALL ENOUGH. Anything less is going to be fragile and unhealthy.
No legitimate breeder breeds teacups. Teacups are sickly runts bred with other sickly runts. A reputable breeder would never breed a runt to begin with.
Anyone calling their puppies teacup is a sleazy backyard breeder or puppy mill and you don't want to buy from either

As a 'teacup' anything is just the runt of the litter and many don't live very long in any case, PLEASE swerve this fad. BYBs produce puppies they know there's a market for - TO PROVIDE THEM WITH INCOME. Each purebred breed has a Breed Standard to which responsible breeders should be breeding.
Contact your local Pom. Breed Club, and get yourself a well-bred, carefully reared puppy. Not only should that keep you away from the vet, but should also save you a load of heartbreak!

Well you cant, for there is no such thing as a teacup dog of any breed. Teacup whatever breed is a name invented by back yard breeders and puppymill outlets in order to sell the runts of their litters at an extortionate price. So called teacup dogs do not live for long in most cases, As runts are the most sickly dogs of the litter.
