I have a pit bull that is a little over a year old and it is time to get him a new dog bed. I was wondering if anyone had any good suggestions. I would like to keep the price under $70 since I'm sure he will destroy it in some way shape or form.

Bethany, I don't know that a particular type of dog bed is designed just for pit bulls. But here's what I do know...

Most owners would like to find the perfect dog bed for their pet. Usually, this means that the perfect dog bed will be sturdy, washable, and comfortable. Most dog bedding deceives pet owners by saying the dog bed is washable when in fact, the cover is washable and the pillow is not. So it is important to find a dog bed in which both the pillow and the case can be washed if the need arises. Both of the two types of bedding are great choices that fulfill all of these perfect bedding qualifications.

Luxury bedding is bedding that is of higher quality, comfort, and style. Luxury bedding can be found online or in brick and mortar stores. Luxury bedding may be heated, orthopedic, or contained in furniture. Heated bedding is great for pet owners' dogs that remain outside during the winter. Orthopedic dog bedding is great for pets that need additional support for sore joints. One of the newest trends is the dog bed that is contained in furniture. This type of dog bed allows you to fold it back into the furniture as if it where never there. Luxury bedding offers pet owners additional options that they would not typically have if purchasing their pet's dog bed at Wal-Mart, Target, etc.

A new trend among pet owners is the dog filled air bed. This type of dog bedding has several advantages for both the pet owner and the pet. Some pet owners may have their pets outside in which they are exposed to fleas and ticks. Non-air filled dog bedding allows fleas and ticks plenty of space to hide while the air bed does not. The dog filled air bed also limits allergens for pet owners as the cover is easy to wash and allergens can not go any deeper than the cover. Aside from its cleanliness, the dog filled air bed is also transportable. If you are traveling out of town or even to the lake, you can rest assure that your dog will be able to rest in comfort as this bed is deflatable.

Hope this helps you make an informed decision.

I'm sure there are not "best dog bed" that are designed by pit bulls, but there are some pretty good brands of dog beds...but none of them are under $70. They hover around the $130 price mark. If you're looking for a medium priced bed, though, I'd recommend West Paw's Heyday bed...it's a pretty nice rectangular bed, but it's a bit thinner than the regular rectangular bed. If you're looking for a thicker, tougher one, I'd recommend K9 Ballistics without a doubt, they're over $100, but are WELL worth the price for durability, and their "chew proof" guarantee.

Good luck!

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://biturl.im/aU4ON

A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

Just go to your local petsmart and buy a dog bed from there. You can find beds that are under $70. You can also catch deals on nice dog beds at target sometimes. I got a large one for my 2 dogs to sleep on for $30 and it's nice too. They haven't been able to tear it up yet (and they're diggers) and best part is that the cover comes off and is machine washable and the cushion inside unzips as well so you can change out the filling when needed. (again this bed came from target) I recommend checking both places. and Good Luck!

P.S. anyone with dog questions should block BONNIE L, she is extremely rude and likes to troll people's pet questions.

this is similar to the one I bought. It's pretty big and they have different colors in the store.

You just missed PetSmart's 20% off Dog Beds sale! =(

There's really no "best bed" for any certain breed. Just find one that you like that's suitable for his size. If he tends to destroy and eat things, I'd advise not to leave him alone in a crate with it.

Just shop around, I'm sure something will call to you!

ADD:

For the uneducated: The vast majority of pit bulls are fantastic dogs, and as happy and loyal as a Labrador. Please don't follow the media and judge the breed by the bad publicity that it gets. I know more vicious Chihuahuas than I do APBT's. Get to know one, and you'll certainly change your mind!

Luxury Dog Beds are used to spoil our beloved pooches. They are part of a fast growing high end pet furniture industry. The Luxury Dog Beds can cost as much as $800 to $1,000.

Most dogs enjoy cuddling up to their masters in bed or lounging on the family room couch. If you want to provide your dog with a place of his own, you can spend a few dollars at a local pets store. However, if you truly want to pamper your Yorkie dog, then you will need to look for something that is comfortable, luxurious, fashionable and well-constructed. Dog Beds and Luxury Dog Beds come in all different shapes and sizes. They are also constructed out of different materials.

I got a huge dog pillow at Petco for our boxer. It has cedar wood chips inside of it to cut down on odors. It is an earthy brown color, and looks really good with our home docor. It was only between 20-25 bucks. We've had it for a few months and it is great!
