Where can I get a list of dog owners in my local area?

I have heard it is possible to get a list of dog owners within your local area, if so where do you go to find out this information? Do you go to the local council and make inquiries? Do the local council have a list of all dog owners and breeders within their community?

why?are you a veterinarian ,or a dog groomer? the best way is word of mouth. if your business is new, you will have to allocate a percentage for advertising . if your good then you will get business from referrals. good luck! also most, pet and feed stores, and car washes, and some grocery stores ,and bowling alleys and Laundromats and etc , have a free bulletin broad put your ad in it.

I don't think there is a list, and if there were, you wouldn't be able to access the information. It's called privacy. Some people insist on it.

If you want a list of breeders, call a vet, or petstore.

If you want to get in touch with some dog owners, post an ad on a community board on the internet or at a pet store or Vet's office.

Please don't just randomly approach people you don't know, sometimes, we just don't want to talk to you.

You can go to the city or county and request a list of registered dog owners. That's no guarantee you will get a complete listing of -all- dog owners.

Especially if this is a business issue, i think it's not so legal... I wouldn't be so happy id my local government gave out my info...especially due to the breed of dogs I have. I hope you are not starting trouble??? If this is a business venture, such as pet sitting, you should probably note that, so that pet sitters (like me) can help you with legal information...
