He's 2 years old. We've only had him for 4 months. My father in law was about to take him outside, he made a loud sound like he was in pain and tried to bite him. My father in law didn't want to get bit so he backed up. Then dog has been gone all night. So far 11 hours. I drove up and down the neighborhood last night and this morning. No sign of him. What do I do?

Get a picture and a bio... name, age, color, breed, etc., and send it to all the shelters and adoption facilities within 30 miles. I would also send the info to all the vets that you can find. You never know where he could be. And someone could have found him and taken him into a vet.

If you have a microchip in him, call the company and inform them that he's run away and when it happened.

Post flyers around the area and surrounding neighborhoods. Make sure that it's okay with the local grocery stores and see if they'll let you put a flyer in their window. I would do this for all the stores that would let me put up signs... they're usually really good about wanting to help.

That's all I can think of, sorry I can't be of any more help. I really hope that you can find your dog.

You should notify the pound that if a dog matching his discription comes in to call you. Place signs around the neighborhood, ask neighbors if they have seen him. I hate to say it but check the sides of the roads in case he was hit. My dogs have run away on me a few times and I always drive around the neighbor hood calling them and my stomach always sinks when I think about checking the ditches. GOOD LUCK!

First, go to the local animal shelter. Let them know you lost him and leave your number. Go today because some shelters will immediately put down aggressive breeds.

Then you should put up signs all around your neighborhood and continue to drive around searching and calling for him.

post signs all around your house. thats how i found my brothers dog twice when he got out and got lost. and both times he was brought back due to the helpful signs. and try to give it a couple of days, one time it took almost a week. but still while you are waiting do call your pound just to make sure it isnt there either. good luck and dont give up.

wow human beings supply somewhat violent solutions...I also have a pitt combination and yeahh in case you run away she willdefinitelyy thinkyou'ree enjoying and she or he`ll chase you! There isnt somewhat plenty greater reason to hate pitts as to a german sheperd or a husky...I`ve considered those breeds play somewhat greater or less and be very agressive...yet human beings nonetheless like them... in any case assuming there's a next time if it`s jogging in the direction of you frivolously dont get all annoying and freak out and run away like a mad guy, they`ll get spooked and probable chase you. attempt to purely stay calm and go searching in case you will discover somebody who must be the owner. If it`s working at you like it needs to harm youyou can the two stand your floor and if it jumps on you develop your knee to the canines chest, it knocks the wind out of maximum of them. or you may attempt to stroll away without turning your lower back on the canine...if the canine isnt too vast and you sense courageous sufficient and you have the prospect to you may attempt to snatch the canine by technique of the neck and pin it to the floor ,no longer unavoidably with a dying grip choking it yet good sufficient so which you would be able to save it down till somebody comes. And suing to have the canine be positioned down is extremely pointless reason the owner can purely get yet another canine and be as negligent with the subsequent one. you may sue the owner of the canine for his or her negligence which will cause them to could desire to supply their canine to three one else who will make effective the canine is being taken nicely care of and being saved from evading and likewise who can actual practice the canine!

You should ring the rescue centres, local police station, anywhere he could have been taken to. You should also put up flyer's, if someone has seen him then they know who to contact.

lf he's microchipped and handed in to a rescue then they can scan it and contact you.
