The reason she is still doing it is because you are allowing it. You NEED TO TELL HER NO!!! Firmly and point your finger, its not the dogs fault because she thinks she is actually doing something even though it is wrong. There is a fine line between playing and biting. Make sure she is biting instead of playing alot of dogs bite, well sorta gnaw when they play, if she really wanted to hurt you or anyone else then she would. Has she ever had a troubled background, like did you adopt her and she came from a abusive family? Check into that if so. If the problem presisit then I would go to a qualified trained that knows how to help her. I wouldn't worry she is still young it might be a phase. Good luck and I hope for the best!

Hey there. Is this puppy nipping, or is this fear or aggression-based biting? The proper way to stop puppy biting is to "YIPE!" as loudly as you can when you feel teeth on your skin, and then end the game. Don't scold, don't fuss. Do not try to grab at your dog's mouth or hit her in any way. Trying to force your dog to stop by getting physical is a very bad idea and will certainly make the biting worse!

NEVER hit hold till it hurts or any other form of painful correction this is how you get a mean dog or a fear bitter

when a puppy bites you make a sharp fairly loud yelp like another pup would. and STOP all play or attention for a short time this is what a litter mate would do and it works it teaches them the way they would learn with their family litter

Im not sure if this is an act of aggression, dominance or fear. You have not provided anough clear details of the situation. Is she biting in response to something you are doing? Such as clipping toenails? is she biting when she acts scared? is she biting when you just walk thru the yard? Is she biting when you play with her? If, so, how do you play with her? Many q's, if you could answer and give more details I could probably help you better.

My sister has a chihuahua and it also bites. What she did is buy a certian chew toy that is rubber and has a whole in the middle where we put peanut butter or cheese inside and it just chews that. I thought that worked good.

Go to your local library and read up on the breed and train the dog. Such behavior should NOT be tolerated as it will progress as the "ankle biter" matures ! May I suggest "No Bad Dogs" by Barbara Woodhouse. Excellent training book.

When she does this tell her no & make it unconfortable for her...dont hurt her just something as easy as pressure on her gums. ....I did this with my lab & it worked..good luck!
