My dog ate a chocoalte once, depending on if it was in the wrapper or not affects how the dog will react. Some wrappers can cut their insides and cause damage that can result in death, but as long as you watch your dog and if it shows any signs that they are going through any type of pain take them to the vet. I dont think the tootsie pop should affect the dog, but research if the wrapper is harmful and that shuld answer your question more thoroughly.

Animals do NOT need to eat a lot of chocolate for it to be toxic. tootsie pops don't contain the component that causes the toxicity that chocolate does, theobromine. thankfully its fake chocolate. it can cause some diarrhea or vomiting but most likely no problems. tell your puppy no more candy! if at any time you feel she is sick, worsening or you are still concerned just take her to your vet. symptoms of chocolate toxicity: hyperactivity, fast heart rate, high blood pressure, shaking/tremors, vomiting, diarrhea, seem off balance (ataxic) all can progress to seizures, coma and death. (i'm pretty sure she should be ok) hope this helps!
PS: the wrappers are the least of your worries. What kind of wrapper can get through the stomach and damage the intestines? After 12 years I have never seen complications from a candy wrapper, but i have seen chocolate toxicity deaths. the wrapper on a tootsie pop is paper with a wax coating, it will get through just fine.

My eleven pound chinese language crested as soon as ate a 3 pound cast milk chocolate bunny. She used to be satisfactory. Just hold a watch out and ensure she's no longer appearing humorous. If you're very concerned, something you'll do is pour a teaspoon of salt down the again of her throat after which take her for a vehicle experience. The movement of the vehicle and the salt will make her throw up. It's nasty however it works. I do not believe you can must, however that might be for long run reference.

she'll be fine. just don't let her have anymore chocolate at all! they need to eat a lot before it effects them.
