Hey bud, i am very familiar with the breed. BTW, It's officially called an Olde English Bulldogge, There is no such thing as the breed you are refering too, that is a mutt invented by horrible breeders to try to cash in. These dogs are not recognized by any reputable registries, there are a few breed specific registries out there that register them, but they will register any cross that a breeder wants to call an OEB. They were created by breeders for the sole purpose of being able to advertise their mutts as a registered "breed" to get more $$ from buyers who haven't done their research.
You need to do YOUR research before you go online and make yourself look foolish talking about a "breed" you obviously know little about(and you do make it obvious...).
You got scammed and your dog is a mutt, all of the bulldog recreations are. There is no longer a bulldog of olde, so the line was re created by mixing breeds to create the dog you have. Most lines don't breed true yet and you could get anything from a dog that resembles an AKC bulldog to a dog that looks more pitbull or mastiff-those are all mixed in to these dogs, and there are too many differences from dog to dog.
You are probably not absorbing any of this and are setting there getting mad and shaking uyour head in disagreement, most who have gotten swindled don't want to realize it, but trust me buddy, I have been involved with this breed for over 5 years and have done a lot more research on the subject that you obviously have.
You got taken by a sales pitch, likely, the lady realized what I am telling you now and decided to cut her losses and get rid of it to another unsuspecting buyer by telling you her sob story.
You can not get this dog registered if it didn't come with papers or the origional breeder didn't register the litter to start with, besides, even if you could register the dog, what good are papers that only tell you that he is a mix? I guarentee that if you go back far enough in his pedigree(probably only 5-7 generations at the most), you WILL find it to be so.
Enjoy him as a pet and don't worry about his pedigree.
