You'll never replace you're friend, no matter how hard you try, as it is with a person, you just have to 'come to terms with your loss'... but when you're ready, to have another, if that's what you decide upon, you will know.
When I lost my little girl.. ( a minature border collie), she was 16 years old, I was heartbroken, I vowed never to go through that experience again.
One day, I met a man who said that it was animal owners like me who were scarce,......
those that have given and could give a loving home to a pet, but because of the grief through losing, they refused to allow themselves to go through that emotion again.
This meant that uncaring animal owners, were left to pick up and destroy as they liked, as many abandoned, young or unwanted pets, and this was why animal abuse was on the increase.
It just made me think and realise that I did have so much to give, and shortly after I bought two beautiful 'twin' toy poodles, who I adore.
