My dog is a pom/lhasa apso mix, so shes super tiny and fluffy, but she is so protective of me that sometimes its embarrassing. When I take her out to pee, one of the neighbors was walking his pit bull. He offered to bring his dog over to say hi and see if it would make my dog stop barking. It was so embarrasing because his pit bull looked so happy and friendly and here's my dog barking up a storm :( It's really unpredictable. Sometimes she sees other people/dogs and doesn't respond and then other times she starts freaking out and barking. She doesn't bite or attack people, she just acts ferocious. How can I control this?

im no expert but i have 3 dogs. if its when ur walking them just give the a slight jerk of the leash until they stop. dont worry ur not abusingg ur dog. ur dog will learn that if it is being loud its not gunna be good news for him. and if ur dog is going wild trying to hold it since u said its a small dog and let the dogs sniff eachother bye holding it up to the other dog. they make growl or bark after awhile of sniffing . just tap em on the nose and then et him down. if ur not stern with ur dogs and teach then and dont let things go. because u do that u will show them that they can get away with it. make sure u use a stern voice and us hand motions
